There seems to be some confusion regarding "The Best" versus "The Most Popular" here. I thought the NAFM list was meant to indicate "The Best." Whereas Mooch's poll was for most popular / what do you paddle, right?

Maybe we should start our own official NCKA poll to determine which fishing kayak is "The Best" according to our membership? Submit a list of your Top 9 ranked from highest to lowest....

whoo-hoo, my boat made it to #3!

silly man.....there is no #1 or #9....they are treated as EQUAL(the same) hence the O.K. omission.

Yeah, says the guy paddlin' an OK yak... not great, but OK :smt044

THIS top 9 is presented by North American Fisherman Magazine, a publication written in and by folks from Minnesota - interesting and appropriate if I did my kayak fishing THERE. Apples compared to Chayote . . . both great but not in the same ballpark..... JMHO. The forum there: http://www.fishingclub.com/community/forums.aspx has a LOT of topics, 25 topic posts of which are canoes and kayaks combined . . . . it is cool they are included

Hi Yakers:

A Yak can please some of the People some of the time but ...ETC.
My idea of a "Best Boat" is fast, light and cheap! :smt005

I never heard of the magazine.  Who cares what they think?

If you do, write to them and tell them where they are wrong.

On the plus side, they just night turn more people on to kayak fishing.  those people might find the true resource for kayak fishing, like this board.

actually i have a membership with North American Fishing, so thatas why i get the magazine, but i did e-mail the "administrators" suggesting this sight for future kayak fishing information.

There was also these two guys who posted an article in the magazine and it just seemed like a seles pitch since they were both kayak fishing "guides"
Everybody should have the opportunity to fish

I wonder what the general consensus on the Ocean Kayak Malibu Two is...I bought it with my brother 9 years ago because it was the only tandem they had in our price range. If there's something better out there, I'd like to try it, but ignorance is bliss.

May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

I definitely think it's time for a new "who paddles which kayak?" poll.
