I'm gonna check out Monastery first. Mainly because I'm a cheap ba$tard and its free. Plus, I was there today at 4 to scope it and the waves were super small. Like 3ft max. I took some pics too. It did look breezy outside but no sheep, and thats pretty good for 4pm.
But if the waves increase or its blowing onshore, I'll head back to Stillwater. Will be there bright and early 8am.
Good luck everybody!
PK

EDIT: In the pics, I'm standing on the south end of the beach. Pic 1 shows the rocks at the north end of the beach--which is the boundary of the Pt Lobos SMR.....so no fishy there! But just paddle out past it before fishing (I have a letter from the DFG posted somewhere on NCKA that confirmed OK to transport fish and gear through the SMR). The rest of the Pics show the launch spot on the south end. Pic 4 is the biggest wave I observed in 10 minutes.

PK,

I must say, you always take such great pictures. Would like to go too, but just got back from Del Valle so the WAF account is a bit low.

Good luck to all

That is easy to say with a freezer full of yellow tail.   :smt045  I still want one 30+ inch Ling.  Let me know when you want to come down for a midwinter dab run.
