Couldn't make the Islander trip, but gonna make this. Booked a room at ground zero - La Jolla Shores Hotel and will be taking the family. That's how you keep the waf.

Let me know if any NorCal bros will be showing up.

Hobi-Wan you are the wise one and thus the force is with you! Nice hotel right on the beach with the family, that is the way to do it!

Try as I might, and I did clear a lot of hurtles, making  a run down to La Jolla for the derby is not in cards for me and Slowmo this year. He has a mock SAT that will help with the SAT later this year and that needs to be the priority for now...so, not this time. :smt009

Is it possible to get shirts for those who contributed?
Maybe send a box to Mooch or myself or pick up when we come down in November for the Islander trip,
Danglin, did you get a response to this from Jim? Would be nice to get the shirt, bag, lure pack, etc. if possible.

At any rate I will be planning ahead for next year and not trying to do this on a lark. All the same glad to sign up and show support.
Good luck Hobi-Wan,
Rocketman

Last minute confirmation but we finally got it.
Cobra Kayaks has donated one of their Expedition kayaks.
If you want a fast boat this is the one for you.
Thanks Rick at the Sailing center for making this happen.
That means we will have kayaks to give away from
Ocean Kayak two Tridents one is for the Auction
Hobie Revolution
Wilderness Systems Tarpon
Old Town Dirigo 140
Malibu XFactor
Cobra Expedition
So we will have at least two kayaks to give away in the raffle possibly more if any of the divisions go unclaimed.
Once again a huge thanks goes out to our sponsors.

I'll be looking for the guys in the red hats :smt002

Not sure Who the " People With Hats Are " that are coming ..

During our Islander trip -months earlier - The trip dedicated to Steve Blackwell aka Chef = "The Unfinished Business Tour", Jim was kind enough to have red hats made for the special event and everyone on that trip got the "Finished Business Tour" hat.

Very cool of Jim to do that  :smt045

Just busting some balls guys, and maybe adding a bit of extra pressure. I know it is a hell of a long way for you all to come down.

Jim,
I have done all I can to make it and it just is not in cards for this year, would love to there.
If you are able to pass the "goodie bags" off for the NCKA folk that entered and can't be there to someone from NCKA that shows up that would be great. If not could you put them in a box and hold them in your shop until next week, I will get my sister to come by and pick them up. That way they will make it back up here and we can show off all the cool shirts and spread the word for next year.
Thanks,
Steve
Can we enter the raffle via your web site or do we have to be there?

I don't think anyone from the North is coming so that won't work. Hell I can't even get them to respond to a little hazing.
I am sure we can work out something for the bags.
No raffle tickets though, you must be here. We have seven kayaks to give away this year.
