Below is the link that announces the decision to delay the meeting until next week.  The announcement also clarifies that this meeting was not to ban fishing Statewide but to provide a means to work with specific counties and tribes that have requested restrictions.

If you looked at the meeting documents, there were several scenarios outlined in them including a statewide closure.  I do not trust that the reassurance that this is only certain counties and tribes is accurate.  I mean, I'm like 85% sure that we were only looking at postponing the sierra trout opener, but that other 15% of me doesn't trust the commission to limit it to just that.

I was on the call this morning.  It was completely horrible, and it really wouldn't have surprised me for the commissioners to kick it over to the governor for an emergency closure state wide out of pure spite.  People behaved very, very poorly and I can't believe that many of them function in society, or even go outside without helmets and neck cones to keep them from eating all the paint chips.

Right??  Makes you wonder how they even remember to breathe once in a while.  Unfortunately, we are outnumbered by the retards.

Anyone happen to record the audio??

I wish. It was a comedy of errors. But you know, if the commissioners had been there on time we would have had the meeting. They were literally phoning it in and one or more arrived late and couldn't get a seat, and so it had to be postponed.

At the same time, though, the public forum was ridiculous. Rude assholes, mostly. I might write a letter to the FGC apologizing on behalf of the fishing community.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Crash, thank you for this. 😂😂 I had the same reaction, although your colorful descriptions are more vivid and creative than mine, but nonetheless it was shocking just how low the bar is set for some of our fellow citizens. Thank goodness our forum members understand and accept that we (NCKA) may have different viewpoints but are good at being respectful of each other. If any of us weigh in with the State on this meeting, I am confident that we will present a measured and considered representation of why NCKA is such a great group.
