Hey Alex

That is my new ride and I pimped the heck out of it so it would look different than yours and Joel's. It is sweet but tippier than my Malibu 2 XL. The Mothers Day cioppino was EPIC and I even used some leftover squid.

Hat's off, gents. I'm hoping to get down there next month.

Hey Scott, glad to hear LK was better than MBK...I made the swell on Friday to be around 8' - is that about right? By the way, I got my first ling (too short) after we talked last. Also, thanks for the location info., it would have been even slower for me.

Brian

Hey Brian

Nice meeting you and yes the swells were big for MB and the fishing was slow. Here is the pic I took of you. See you out there.

Way to go Etiene! Nice looking fish, I have to hook up with you soon and get some of that fishing mojo. Just got back from diving for some nice abs at Ocean Cove but not much fish too talk about. Epic visibilty this past weekend almost 40' lot of fun looking for the big ab's but nothing bigger than 8.5.

i'm estimating mine to be around 60 lbs.  felt the same as a sack of feed in my burlap sack.  then again, you can see in the pic i was wore out,  all day friday I lifted 6 x 10 beams 16' long up 10 foot ladders with only 2 other helpers, 12 of them, my shoulders and arms were worked over, PLUS, i broke my left ring finger tip hittin it with my 21 oz daluge, thank goodness it was a finish framer!

and, the campgrounds were full but there was no ncka's 'cept me and james at LK.  we were camped right next to each other.  alot of people bailed due to forecasts.  I'll definately show you the Red thing, most important though, is that they have to be there, unless your name is Fred Savage.  He'll pull 'em anywhere :smt102

I never weighed mine but I am guessing 30-40 lbs.  It was too heavy to dip in the water and haul back on deck with one hand  :smt005 .

I have a scheduled day off next Tuesday and am willing to fish anywhere from Monterey south to LK maybe further.  Who else can fish a weekday next week?

I agree with Etienne that it took 2 hands to throw it in the boat and made it difficult to flip my boat upright when I went for a swim since the Lings were still alive and swimming for the bottom. I weighed the fillets at almost 8 pounds and you know the fillet yield from rockfish is low. It was carnage on a biblical scale  :smt003.
