Yeah...dead fish don't bleed. So cut the gills and let it soak for a few minutes (blood flows out easier in the water). Then place fish in burlap sack. And repeat with another fish until sack is full. The only fish that need bonking are halibut and tuna.

I don't bonk them to death, just one or two quick whacks to stun them so they don't thrash and spike me while I cut their gills. They bleed just fine.

oooo the jeans lol  I remember posting up a pic of LBSteve last year for the RF opener...he got ripped a new one for wearing jeans lol you are lucky lol

Sure, nature was giving him a break. If the knots/leader/whatever had held and a giant Ling had made a run for it, then he coulda gone in the water and we know where that might end given the lack of immersion protection . . . .

Cotton still sucks the heat out if wet, get a nice pair of dress slacks from goodwill, I call it formal fishing.
