      Re;  Us stupid kayak makers..  :smt044    Can't please everyone!      Some would ask,, "Why is it so big".  Others,, "I don't need that ".     When you mold in these cavities, it requires more plastic which = more weight,,, which = more complaints,,, which = more discussions about why stupid kayak makers can't make these things lighter...  :smt006      I rest my case.   :smt002

Critics of a design, typically don't understand what goes into a complicated design and the give and take for all the features proposed in initial design plan.  It's always easier to pick off a couple things as poor when they neglect the overall effort to produce an item.  Cost to design, cost to make, quality of product are all a balancing act.
