Advice on small boat

We have a crestliner 18.5 ft with a 115 Mercury outboard along with a little kicker just in case and it handles very well in the ocean and also easy to launch and tow to lakes even high up in the mtns (almanor, Tahoe ect.) HIGHLY recommend. Awesome boat

Marine Ply has gone thru the roof in terms of $$$ these days.

I paid $80 for a 1/2 sheet of Merante Hydrotech 3/4". Pretty expensive but the nicest plywood I have ever worked with.

Good to know.  I love quality woods ... my wallet, not so much.

Yup....sad...and I heard the inventory sale was bananas.  Rock bottom prices on all hardwoods just to get it out the door.  Would have been sweet to pick through the exotics before they closed.

C-Dory, Arima, and several others are nice boats. So are whalers/Wellcraft Center Consoles.  I just purchased a North River style boat and love it. Lots of things to consider on trailer-able boats and there are some good ones and some not so good ones.

Depends on which Whaler, a lot of them can beat the snot out of you. The skiff's especially.
