I didn't see anyone mention Livingston.  They seem to be tough, stable little boats.  It's what the guys at the Capitola pier used to bring out a replacement outboard when the one on the rental skiff died. :smt001

The first craigslist ad I posted was a 14' Livingston without the motor for $1400. The ad is deleted already though.....someone swooped it up already.

Ive always wanted one of those giant tiller style pangas; like the ones all the south of the border dirt weed arrives on. Why are they so hard to find?

We were a dealer back in Florida & they were being imported in thru South Florida from MX at the time or being built in South Florida ... can't remember.  They were DIRT CHEAP boats too!

These are exactly what Im talking about. I have even found that website while researching them.  An 18 or 20 ft tiller with a Honda 4 strk would be my dream boat.  Simple but capable....One day

I like the simplicity of the authentic Mexico ones which is what the initial ones by Panga Marine had in the beginning.  They are more "flashy" now & carry a much higher pricetag now too.  :smt009

I haven't looked into pangas but they sure do look nice and simple just what I'm looking for gotta research a little more though. I asked my dad if he was down to build a boat and he looked at me like I was crazy haha he said he was up to the challenge though after I showed him some YouTube videos doesn't look too hard. I'm looking into building one of these.

Nice, looks like we all have summer projects now. Does anyone have a local source(bay area) for Okoume marine plywood? Hate to spend $123 shipping for a few sheets of plywood.

Southern Lumber San Jose,  last time I bought some it was about $90 a sheet for 3/4.   Svendsons boat works on alameda will likely carry a marine ply also.
