Hey fellas I just hiked Mattole to the cove with my daughter.  Excellent weight loss plan.  Just go hiking and don't eat anything :)

Re: weight loss bets- I'd be in for a maintenence bet.  Like every year at GS weigh in and anyone who put on lbs has to pay up, anyone who is the same/lost doesn't, and the proceeds to PIF/HOW etc.  I tried to get a weight loss charity going a couple years ago but it didn't gain any traction.  I'm still way down for it.

In a normal week i'll do 3-4 miles in the lap pool along with a 4-5 mile run  but swimming never seems to help reduce body fat. Although I can feel my strength go up I'll be hitting up the cycling class soon.

HOLY! Each mile in a pool is 68 laps!

Ive tried many different way of counting trying not to lose count. The best way i found is doing it in increments of 250 yards. Once you get to 1500 its only 150 more yards.

Each workout comprises a) swimming 3 to 4 miles followed by b) running 4-5 miles?!
Color me impressed!!  Respect!

I've been eating better but still getting fast food (Subway, Togos). Tomorrow I'm going for a hike at Del Valle then going shopping for groceries. Making progress step by step!

Sorry, looks like I wasn't very clear but that's in a whole weeks worth of working out. After a mile of swimming for the day I'm pretty much done then its hot tub time.

That makes more sense! I cant imagine anyone to be overweight if they swam 4 miles a day Haha

I'm trying to stick to under 2000 calories a day, plus the regular cardio & weight workouts.

I did almost 8 miles of open water paddling last weekend with a rough portage at the end and it went really well, so I'm at least doing better in the fitness department. Mentally I'm feeling much better too.
The toughest part was declining a free glazed doughnut at the take-out.
I really did that?????what have I become????????!!!!
