As I know that CCK will not take care any hobie issue that not bought from them.

This is not completely true.  They did handle a warranty issue for me for a Hobie not purchased there.  Although it was a minor warranty, they still took care of it.  What they told me was that they would prefer that people handle warranty issues through the store they purchased it from.  I don't see a big issue with that request, unless the store you purchased from is no longer in business and have no choice but to seek another dealer.

Al, truly sorry about what happened with your outback.  Seems like a lot of mixed opinions about CCK with the folks here.

Essentially, it was stolen from me, after I asked them for help...

Yeah, its kinda convoluted story here, but it's the truth.

My original dealer basically told me they couldn't do anything for me, so I let it sit in my garage for two years. When I went to buy my AI from CCK (no discount either hahaha) I mentioned that I have an issue with my original outback and needed it looked at.  Keith said he would take it in and look it over and verify if it's a warranty issue or what not.  I dropped it off the day I picked up my AI and went sailing!  I didn't hear from them for several months, and didn't hear back until I called them and asked what was up with it.

Keith called me back and said we recycled it, because they didn't think that I wanted it anymore, but that it was definitely a standard Hobie Drive-well Crack, and a bad one at that, and that Hobie wouldn't warranty it.  But never once did they call to tell me that it was out of warranty, or that I could come pick it up again (and possibly pay to have it fixed elsewhere).

That's when he offered me the box of junk and another broken outback, which he also never called back about.

I recycled his hobie! yeah so what about it?! lol  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
Just weird to see someone with my name do something so wrong. We are not all the same! lol
Sorry to hear that Al. Its just strange how they would just recycle your hobie without contacting you. It would seem like they would be liable for
the valued cost of the damaged hobie because they never got your consent to recycle/destroy it.  Just my two cents. --Keith

I suppose you could open a small claims case . What is the cost $30 $40?

Or we could have NCKAs first "Pickett and chill ". I'm ready for a potluck

Apparently you are right! I can still file a SCCC for this...  Maybe I can get on Judge Joe Brown  :smt044

This is not completely true.

This is likely not true at all.  An authorized dealer usually cannot selectively effectuate warranty requests only on product that originate from that dealer.  Of course, I have no idea what Hobie's dealer agreement actually states, but I doubt the Hobie gives them that option.  Dealers usually have to take the good with the bad, and service the product irrespective of location of sale.

Al, I'm really surprised at this outcome, and disappointed at the shaft.  Do You want to make a brilliantly clear written demand, and give them one last opportunity to "make it right" how you see it?  That'd be my suggestion before formally elevating it further.
