I was trying to wrap my head around this post at first seeing it
the meaning of the title
and for sure
for me
kayak fishing is one of those tangible things
right in the moment type stuff
how unbelievably lucky I am to be floating in the ocean
alone- but- not alone

Maybe he did not have that type of stuff - he might have been in need of it.

heaven is laughing very hard today for sure

It's all very sad.  We can only hope that he finds true happiness wherever his next stop might be.

A college roommate of mine said something to me that has always stuck.
"You never know what's going on inside another mans head."

Is it safe to assume he decided against a Philosphy major?   :smt003

If he was an NCKAer, we'd probably be raising money to help support the people he left behind...

On a lighter note, if you haven't seen his Golf routine...you HAVE TO watch this...it's the best! Makes me smile every time.

Sad that he intentionally left his kids...no problems should drive one to that.

His second son and my oldest went to school together in San Francisco so I saw him occasionally at school functions.

He was one of the best artists probably in history, and I think a humble and gracious man.  He will be missed.

The whole thing not only him but many other Comedians. Remember the Smokey Robinson Song.
The Tears of a clown. Many are sad inside. they use comedy to escape and finely have to turn to other things. We do not know these peoples demons. I hope he is resting in peace now.

Very true. I know first hand. I was fortunate that I got the help I needed, before I crossed the threshold.

I met Robin back in 2013, he came into a club that I was booked for that night, and asked if he could get some stage time. (Like you are going to say no to "The Man?") He was very cool to all of us in the green room, got up and did his thing. The man is amazing. I will miss him, but I do not have empathy for suicide, but that is just me.

If he was NCKA we would all be cracking up while fishing.  Can you just imagine what he would be saying on the radio?  We might have to give him a different channel.  The man can see humor in just about anything and knows how to deliver it.  I wonder what he would say about the A-HULLS or the Loose Screws??   :smt044  Good Morning NCKA!!!!  :smt005

blows me away the more I think about the guy, that someone with so many who cared about them,or knew them,or looked up to them,or would be touched by his choice, kids having to have it explained to them,...with so much in life at his fingertips, compared to some poor souls....would be able to sink that far in their mind and spirit that quick -with no way to pull out of the dive.
It almost seems like there is more to this that has not come out yet.
It just does not fit imo
but as mentioned ,you never know what is going on in someones head

So does a slow bite, so I think he would have done it anyhow.  Ten or fifteen snags and lost rigs, he would have rigged some braid up to his mirage drives and been done with it.
