jury duty again

   Seems I get called every two years to report.     I think the system is in need of repair.   It doesn't seem right to interview and filter through 100-200,,,+ ?  potential jurors in order to "cherry pick" the ones you think might be in "favor" of either  side.     Some of these cases are the incredibly "STUPID " hardly worth the time of a trial.
     
     Maybe it should be more like poker,,   you get to discard the ones you don't like,  but get stuck with the replacement hand.

That's pretty close to how it works right now. 

The judge can remove an unlimited number of jurors for cause - hardship, bias and the like.  The lawyers only get a certain small number of peremptory challenges where they can dismiss any juror for any legal purpose.

If you really want out say someone looks familiar. You can't remember where. And you will be kicked off.

Took an entire day just to pick the jury.  Time wasted.  BIG cases can take weeks to pick a jury.  Does seem that there could be something missing in this process.
