My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

haha, thanks.  I dont have that much money, ive been pretty much self taught at working on cars since i was about 19 (29 now), so pretty much everything i build is on a strict budget and takes me some time unless i get lucky and get good deals when i need to.  I rarely buy new and i do my own work/make my own stuff whenever possible.  Then again thats what i find the most fun about tuning cars!  Anyone can just buy something and install it :)

As for the Maxima, well...i bought my Z to replace it, its been sitting at my moms house for a couple years on non op, it still runs like a top, Tranny got a full rebuild and i put in a brand new southbend stage 3 clutch so i could turn up the boost (~12 psi) but all i did was put about 500 miles on the new setup and decided i needed a change.  Unfortunately i just dont have the heart to put it on jack stands and start taking off parts :( i learned everything i know about cars on that stupid maxima lol.  The day i see it driven off i will definately cry  :smt009

I've got 4 Thule rain gutter bases I will let go cheap. I don't have the bars though. On the other hand, I have two round Yakima 48" bars and no bases. Let me know and we can hook up today to look, or next week any time.

Hmm, i guess your saying that the bars could be cut to size easily?

As for the foam blocks i have that kind of setup already but am hesitant to use it on my datsun in the fear im going to scratch the paint (jet black paint job shows everything! :( )

Are you close to south sac or Elk grove?  Not too familiar with where your location is (never heard of it).

See attached for some pictards, i dont have the hella flush wheel setup on there anymore (sold them) i have my zx refurb'd 14s on there with polished lips and pearl white painted center on there now.  Need to get me some old Hayashi Street fins or some SSR starsharks, thats my next and hopefully last set of wheels i buy for the damn thing lol.

nice 510. looks pretty sick. ive always wanted one but with a det transplant.

Thanks :) I got my KA longblock for STUPID cheap hence why i went that route and spent my saved money on suspension work and some other things to tidy it up and make it drive as good as possible.  I have everything to turbo the KA which i will do maybe over the winter time.  If i ever come across an SR for a decent price i wouldnt mind doing that either, time will tell.

Sweet Datsun 510 man!  :smt007
I'd say go w/the Yakima gutter rack, then only put it on when transporting the yak. And make sure to clean off the roof after fishing because the yak will undoubtedly leave sand on there.
Or just trade your beloved Maxima for a Datsun 620 pickup!
