I am pretty sure any adjustable roof rack that attaches to outer rain gutters on older cars would work.  Anyone have something that i could try on for size and buy?

I've got 4 Thule rain gutter bases I will let go cheap. I don't have the bars though. On the other hand, I have two round Yakima 48" bars and no bases. Let me know and we can hook up today to look, or next week any time.

A couple of ideas: Try amazon, there a lot of small compaines that have generic racks you can get fairly cheap.  The other is the old standard foam block set up with starps.

Hmm, i guess your saying that the bars could be cut to size easily?

As for the foam blocks i have that kind of setup already but am hesitant to use it on my datsun in the fear im going to scratch the paint (jet black paint job shows everything! :( )

Are you close to south sac or Elk grove?  Not too familiar with where your location is (never heard of it).

See attached for some pictards, i dont have the hella flush wheel setup on there anymore (sold them) i have my zx refurb'd 14s on there with polished lips and pearl white painted center on there now.  Need to get me some old Hayashi Street fins or some SSR starsharks, thats my next and hopefully last set of wheels i buy for the damn thing lol.

Kinda OT but i guess ill post my other cars haha, this is my old 4th gen maxima that i did WAYYY too much to list, biggest mod was a home made Rear mounted turbo that built for it.

This is the old motor setup i had in the 510, high compressy (~11.8:1) bored out LZ 2.3+ frankenstien with dual 44mm mikunis

This is the new motor setup as i was putting it together , i have a better pic somewhere but cant seem to find it atm

sweet cars dude!
I'd be looking for a set of racks to match the vintage of the car.  :smt003

If it has rain gutters then i think almost any clamp-on type of rack system would work. I've been using yakima stuff and have been happy with both racks systems I have bought .

Thanks!  I was thinking about doint the same for the datto but meh...i dont really plan on keeping the rack on the car unless im using it for my bike or kayak anyways, I have never use a roof rack before and am completely unfamiliar with the different styles that would/wouldnt work on the car :(

I've been wanting to get pics of my Camaro at the strip with my kayak on the roof. I think it would hold to about 90 safely. After that?

You would not need to cut the 48" bars unless you really needed to.
