Thanks for the interest guys. I'm still experimenting with the rubber coating on the ball. The spray-on clear rubber I used didn't hold up if I twist/turn the clamp after I clamp it down tight. I think the graphite I added made it a little too slick. May need to cut down on the mixture. I just ordered some rubber primer to see if it could help give the rubber a better bond to the ball.

It takes about a day to create one adapter because I only have one mold. It's a three step process, and epoxy dries slow. When I'm satisfy with the rubber coating I'm willing to make a small batch available to people. Stay tuned.

very cool!  BTW, that red and black extension pole looks exactly like my EGO fishing net extension pole.

Same pole with a different logo. $12 at Walmart. How much did you pay  :smt003

Nice DIY job.

For those without the skills, last week Ram introduced something similar, but a clamp on, specifically for this purpure.

Once again great work Ernest!

I bought a 10 dollar monopod from Walmart and modified it so I can use it upside-down with the gopro tripod adapter. Your setup will have better articulation than my setup.

Thanks for the intel. Wish I knew they were gonna do that. I could've spent the time on a different project.

Actually it was already a thought in their mind, then someone  :smt004 sent them a link to your post, and they quickly productized it.  Ram has their sights on addressing the needs to the kayak fishing community so if you have a product idea for them, don't be shy about sending it in.
