OK here's an angle, it's a known scientific fact that every cell in our body is replaced every ten years, are we the same person?
Lynyrd Skynyrd has had every person replaced from the original lineup, are they the same band?
Symphony's from all over have been completely replaced for hundreds of years, still the same.
Ships? I could still go either way, but it's a good brain tease anyhoo.

If there is one thing in this world that I am 100% certain of, beyond any shadow of a doubt, it is that Lynyrd Skynyrd is not the same band... unfortunately.   

Is sublime the same band without Brad?

I guess the real question is: Is AC/DC the same without Bon Scott? I would say yes because Brian Johnson is an equal replacement.

Is Sublime or Lynard Skynyrd the same with their replacements? Hell no, the replacements do not equal the original. Anyone heard of the Long Beach Dub Alllstars?

That was the belief, but there is lots of debate and studies on it now. I just googled it using brayn sels that ar left.
