Following the Raiders from afar, I thought the firing of Hue Jackson was a mistake.  I get the whole GM wanting to hire his own guy, but Jackson seemed to be turning things around.  While I'll admit that Allen has cleaned up penalties, it seems, initially, that there has been regression.

I agree with you that the passing of Al Davis is the best thing to happen to the Raiders in a long time.  He was a pioneer in his day, but unfortunately, the game had passed him by.

the last thing i wanted to see was regression , the biggest head scracher was the change in offense scheme ,hue had our offense rocking but when i heard we were bringing in greg knapp in as OC i knew we were gonna go back to the zone blocking scheme.. not saying that its a bad thing for other teams but i felt it didn't match up with the strengths of mcfadden and Palmer.

Yeah, I feel bad for the Raiders. They have enough talent on offense to overcome their poor defense, but they don't utilize them properly. They need to ditch Knapp and start over, again. I really thought Bruce Allen was gonna be the man. But maybe not. How many coaching careers will McFadden kill before they give up? Too bad they can't trade him.
