Took my kid to a Raiers game once upon a time.   My kid loved the Broncos for some unknown reason (sister's influence I'm thinking), and so he wore his Broncos hat.  He was 5 at the time and dumbass Raiers fans started heckling my boy and calling him a pansy and such, stopping just short of cussing him out.  Well, similarly to your story, security came and got the dumbasses after almost the entire section complained.  So all's good there - not all Raiers fans are morons, in fact most are not.  However, since then, my boy has chosen wisely and become a life long Niners fan, like his father before him.

I'm glad that security got that guy, hopefully they ruffed him up a little.  I can't believe he dumped his beer on your wife,... wait a min, yes I can. I wanted to go to that game and watch one of my former players that plays for the Saints but reconsidered.  Honestly I think it is a great game environment if you are a Raider fan, but if your are rooting for the other team not soo much.

Hey Jim, talk about a game then huh? I was there and saw you and some others walk by below us on the upper seats..glad u made it out of that incident and still had a goodtime..We did too

Ricci! You should have yelled down and said hi!!

We scored two extra tix last minute in the parking lot for my two cousins who were visiting from New Orleans. Their seats were way up in the 300 section (we were down with 6 other friends in 126) so we were walking them over there...only way we could figure out how to get over there was to do that walk all the way around right under all the folks sitting there...got yelled at pretty much the whole walk over!  :smt005

Once we were seated we were fine, and we had a blast tailgating ad sharing food and drinks with the raiders fans all around us...to be honest the tailgating was the best part and the most enjoyable!!   :smt003 :smt004

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

its all good , we suck this season and may suck next season too...but its different now , new owner who realizes he doesnt know football , new GM who hired his own coach.....the guy has made some good things happen that goes un noticed , phillip wheeler anyone? miles burris? or juron criner? solid pickups on the account of reggies talent recognizing...and now its looking like we may get some top picks in the 2013 draft ,also noone is giving credit to the coach for getting the penalty thing fixed , not a complte fix but real progress, things may turn around for us....no longer will Al davis be firing coaches after one year or calling the plays from his sky box , no more overpaid under performing athletes on the roster and we will no longer draft athletes based on there speed only , we will be looking for football players with football instincts who love the game. all Mark davis has to do is find us a better stadium whther it be in southern cali or up here in the bay ( this aint a bay thing , its a raider thing).

we are pretty much starting from scratch , we had to see how bad we really were and yea ,were a mess but i think the front office knows what needs to be done...time will tell but when things get turned around and raiders start winning again its gonna be a great feeling.

Following the Raiders from afar, I thought the firing of Hue Jackson was a mistake.  I get the whole GM wanting to hire his own guy, but Jackson seemed to be turning things around.  While I'll admit that Allen has cleaned up penalties, it seems, initially, that there has been regression.

I agree with you that the passing of Al Davis is the best thing to happen to the Raiders in a long time.  He was a pioneer in his day, but unfortunately, the game had passed him by.

Do you know why Sacramento will never get a professional football team??
Because then Oakland would want one too.  :smt044

Kayak fishing AND a Raiders fan; seems like a paradox to me.  I discovered I could never admit to be a Raiders fan after finding out my mother-in-law was.  That was back when Kenny Stabler was QB.  Remember the Immaculate Receiption?  Oakland and Pittsburg for the AFC divisional playoff game.  Still love the Steelers for that!!

The most famous play in the history of American Football, the greatest play of all time.
Terry Bradshaw and Franko Harris, no instant replays for the refs; "Hang onto your hats, here come the Steelers out of the huddle. Twenty-two seconds remaining. It's down to one big play, fourth down and 10 yards to go. Terry Bradshaw at the controls. And Bradshaw....running out of the pocket, looking for somebody to throw to, fires it downfield, and there's a collision!  And it's caught out of the air! The ball is pulled in by Franco Harris! Harris is going for a touchdown for Pittsburgh!" "You talk about Christmas miracles. Here's the miracle of all miracles."

A paradox is a statement or group of statements that leads to a contradiction or a
situation which (if true) defies logic or reason.
