Capitola does sound a lot calmer...

Good fish can be had over there too...despite what Mooch says.

I'm on it Wednesday rain, shine, squall, or stampede. I've also got a late 4 hour window tomorrow so I'm thinking of hitting Carmel river beach if nothing else works out. Remember NOAA can predict in one hand and shit in the other, it doesnt mean too much if you don't check it in person.
we can't always catch fish, but we can piss our girlfriends and wives off every weekend we get a chance.

I'll be at SWS at 6:00 AM tomorrow and post the conditions on this thread.  The NW winds don't typically blow that hard in the early morning.  I could be wrong but I think there will be a nice early morning window.

I'll still be there by 6:30. JJQ is Josh right?  Cant wait to fish with you again.  If it looks gnarly, maybe we can head north.  I get the sneaking suspicion that it might be flat for a bit.  Just a feeling.  I think these forecasters are wrong more than right.

Stoggie will make it this year.

A-Hulls have made this their opener at SWS for years running now, and I haven't missed it yet, and it seems like a small craft advisory every year.

Rain or shine, wind or swell, will not deter an A-Hull from the opener.

Heres what I got from the NOAA point and click just south west of the cove in open water

Tuesday: NW wind 10 to 16 kt. Patchy fog before 11am. Mixed swell...WNW 8 ft at 10 seconds and SSW 2 ft at 15 seconds. Wind waves around 1 ft.

With fog in the morning I dont think wind would be an issue until 11 IMO but I still plan on being there!

Yep, it's me Josh.  I also think it's going to be calm in the A.M. but if not I am down to drive a little.  See you in the morning!
