I may come tag along if thats cool with everybody?...and I can get off work...it is a holiday after all  :smt004

Very cool.  Once you set up your username in NCKA you are in the  "Click"   Cant wait to meet you and a ton of over new people.

Great! As long as wx looks doable and I'm able to escape the 9-5, the be there!

Go get 'em Matt! I'll be in SoCal  next Thursday at Santa Rosa Is, weather permitting, so there's no way I can get Tuesday off. I am sooo stoked for RF season this year. Been too long since I had fresh fillets. I'll be thinking of you guys while I'm at work :smt012

Matt was my partner in fishing last year and took my avatar WSB pic.

I'm super excited too.  We gotta get to Big Sur this year.

Even though conditions look crappy for Tuesday, I'll still be there to join the rest of the crew for some fun :)

Tue...NW winds 20 to 30 kt. Wind waves 3 to 7 ft. NW swell 8 to 10 ft at 10 seconds. Patchy fog in the morning.

Looking at little rough out there for Tuesday. Not sure if I will pull the trigger or not.

Too much wind.  I have been there when it is churning and looks like
a  mud pond.  No fun at all.  I'll be patient and wait a couple of days.

Sitting here in Salinas the wind is 3-4mph right now. Not a bad sign at all in fact its a really good one. As we speak according to wunderground the lone cypress is is at 1mph from the N. Another good sign.

Wunderground is saying 8mph at 6am and 5 at 12 for today so they are off by a considerable amount. Hopefully they are wrong about tomorrow but I guess we will know at midnight. That is when this "wind event" looks like it's going to kick off.  That is highly unlikely but then I don't predict the weather for a living.

Unless its really windy at 5a tomorrow I will be there with my brother chasing lings. :smt003

Did a drive by this morning.  Light see breeze, a bit of swell, lots of fog.  Won't hold me back.

Conditions on NOAA look sketchy at best with a small craft advisory in effect tomorrow and combined swells with high winds.  I would advise anyone who isn't experienced to maybe try Monterey/MBK, Santa Cruz or Capitola instead.

Weather reports for Santa cruz area are looking pretty good, I'm just thinking I actually want to catch fish on the opener  not fight wind. Just a thought tho.

I cant rationalize using a work "freebie" in this wind.  Hope to meet you all another time.  Good luck and be safe to all of you going out.

Im going to wait Jim until the WX looks a bit better. If I lived closer it wouldnt be so much of an issue. 8 hours driving for one day of fishing, its gotta be good. Know what I mean ? hehe :smt006
