So this is the first MBA shark to die after being released?  I thought that most of them had perished shortly after being released.

I stopped being a member and visiting the aquarium about 5 years ago when the tour guide couldn't separate recreational anglers from longliners yet continued to explain that fisherman were depleting the oceans resources
it is pretty sad that they great you kindly when you have $$ in hand than bash you after you pay up.

They have created a comm fishery for GWS, a federally-protected species, by offering rewards for these 'incidentally-caught' sharks. I heard they paid like 4K for the first couple then all of a sudden more sharks started showing up in the nets....
I wish they'd make a giant sealion habitat lol...maybe poach some of those effers to put on display...and then kill them.   :smt044
