Yes,

Joel....I will be there.  Cell phone do not work there.  Unless, you climb up half way on the hills.

Also, NO MORE COKE or PEPSI for Joel (he like coke better than pepsi).  If some one could bring a tranquillizer gun with a dart.  The dart has to have a dosage to keep down a Water Buffalo and we can let Joel fish with us.

Every time he has a fish on...he shout so loud that all the bait on the screen of my fish finder vanish.

Ken

So I checked out the Perch activity on the boat ramp...unfortunately, the tide was low and all I saw were small rock crabs hanging on the cement poles  :smt009

I'll do some more recon and will post results asap. :smt002

Hey Ken feel like meeting at Mel's again?

I got 2 shad raps last night a small one like 2'' and a bigger 3.5'' one. Which size do you use Joel?

So I'll be there later in the morning.  I've never been to Del Valle before ... in which general direction will you be?  I picked up a VHF today so I'll give you all a shout out when I get there.  Or should I just listen for Joel yelling and paddle in that direction.   :smt019

Assuming the lake it at the same level as the last time I was there then you can only really go one direction from the boat ramp. I think we will probably be the only kayak's out as well.

Hey Ken is Joseph going to join us?

I have both but tend to use the smaller one when trolling the lip of the shoreline (5 to 10 feet) I use the bigger one when trolling deeper water   + 15ft.

Here's the latest report from Del Valle.....

WHOPPERS: Bill Charles, of San Mateo, nailed a 6 pound rainbow trout while fishing the narrows, using rainbow Powerbait. Dan Rochin, from Livermore, caught a 12 pound striped bass. Dan was fishing just north of the marina, using anchovies.

The last time I was at Del Valle - John, Mike and I were seeing a school of Stripers & baitfish in 60 feet of water. We tried jigging spoons but to no avail. Nobody really targets Stripers in Del Valle cause it's hard to find them - but if you ever check out the bait shop by the launch ramp - the pics on the wall are unreal  :jawdrop HEEEEUUUGE STRIPERS have been caught.
