I do have one, well, several questions, in deciding to buy the O.K.'s, did you test drive first? What is the 'skinny' on those boats - Pros/Cons? Are there Launch/load complications? How are they in the wind? have you taken them out in rough water? How do they do in a current, shallow water...? Since the drive is in the back, I would imagine that when going into a wind or current they may tend to bow-steer a bit. Any info would be great. Otherwise enjoy.

Good luck.

Just to answer a few of the questions that were asked, no we did not get a chance to test them out, only seen them at a boat show, and after checking out the ocean kayak line it seemed the way too go, we have had the Hobie Revolution and liked them but the price for them with the power option was enough to keep them out of our price range.
The only draw back so far is the installing of the battery, it is a bit heavy but the kayak seems to handle it well, I am going to install some kind of a quick disconnect on them sort of like Nascar has would be nice.
How is it in the wind? That is one of the things that I really enjoy in the Torque you just add a little, and I mean little power and with the rudder you can easily put the kayak any where you want the kayak is low on and the wind only seems to help it hold in place, I never had that advantage in a bass boat, you always were correcting to hold it in place, you can either crawl along the banks with your hands free to fish and not worry about getting too close and having to turn away from the bank, a little rudder input and you litterly crab to the side to any position you want, I found this very convenient.
Haven't had it in any real rough water yet but I love the way the bow flairs out and I think it should be drier than my Hobie was, How skinny will it go ,I'm guessing no more than 2-3 feet at best, it would be something to be aware of, but going into that shallow water I would remove the motor and install the plug that was included. Anyone is welcome to try it out , like was said earlier, it isn't for everyone, especially die hard kayak paddlers, but for us older people who don't want to just roll over and die just yet it's great.

AGAIN, THANKS FOR THE WELCOME :smt006

P.S., One thing I did notice was that the motor was a little noisey through not being a tight fit, I was able to correct this by simple installing a scupper on the motor and it seemed to do the trick

I admit I really like paddling but when I retire I am going to get a Revo. Then after 5 years I will trade it in for a Torque and some Viagra.  :smt005 Hey, Raymac has an electric boat and is a member of NCKA.   :smt006

Great point, Scott.  There is precedent for nonyak NCKA members.

TC, you could increase your acceptance quotient by posting paddling reports with details that would be of interest to yakanglers.  Launch sites, lodging, facilities, conditions, weather, good places for chow.  This ain't a travel blogsite, but you get the idea. :smt052

Also, pls be handy with the digi camera.  Some in NCKA will cut a ho for text only posts.  The clear preference is recon-by-photo.  See, e.g., http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,20072.0.html.  Further to that, you both should come out to an event, if only to be the designated shutterbug.  Then bring a good dish to share for potluck and we'll welcome you up real good.   :cook
