Crab opens 11/1

we might be able to go crabbing after all.  the weather forecast has gotten a little better:

 SUN
 SW WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 2 FT OR LESS.
 W SWELL 5 TO 8 FT AT 12 SECONDS AND S 2 FT AT 14 SECONDS.
 CHANCE OF SHOWERS.

it seems doable.  don't you think?
let's see what it will say tonight.

We'll probably just have to go and have a look.
I'll keep my fingers crossed today.

Was talking to ChuckE who suggested keeping an eye on your traps at HMB to prevent raids and theft.

I was just in Gus' getting some supplies and she went on and on about the same thing. Big problem apparently. I guess we'll just fish close to the traps!

i hate crab-pot pirates. i have lost several pots and i don't know how many crabs to them. someone needs to invent some sort of booby-trap for those people.

Alright, we're going! 8am Sunday (11/02) in the north jetty parking lot if anyone fancies it!

These came out of Muir beach last year in 40 fow.

  We set our pots (powerboat) in 170' of water up near the Russian River this afternoon. Reports are.... the crabbing is/was slow on the pots that have been soaking 2-3 days. We will be pulling and rebaiting on monday afterwork.

ps    Ran into this fella (Jonesz) setting his pots on our way back in.

Well I didn't get any keepers today... Had three that were juuuuuust under size, and a few rock crabs I didn't want....
