I plan to summarize the results per each management area and submit them to CDFW and PFMC.  Also, I will post the result at this site on February 1st.

Paul

Thank you for your efforts here!

Question - is the 20 fathom line/points determined yet?  Thanks!

Not finalized yet.  They collected comments and currently working on the final 20F waypoints.

I submitted mine backwards. The biggest lings spawn in the winter plus like the option with crabs. Halibut is spring, summer for me.
Just PM me your email address, and I can remove it for you to resubmit.

Paul

Thanks Paul i meant winter to spring. It was on purpose

Sweet, thanks! Hoping my fav spot is on the nearshore side of the line... It's right at 55-65 ft, haha. Geographically, it should be though

CDFW removed the draft 20F line from their site but you can see one created by AlsHobieOutback:

I'm a bit of a dingus sometimes. I was thinking fathoms, but definitely calculating my spot in yards, haha. My spot should be just fine. Crisis averted, haha.

To be clear, this is for all fishermen, right?  Not just kayak anglers.

Why doesn't CDFW run their own poll?

Hi Allen

This pole is for kayak anglers; we are only distributing it through NCKA, F&S, and the Non-Motorized Vessel website.  When we forward our survey results, we will state they are from kayak anglers.
Other recreational fishing community are collecting their data and information.

Why doesn't CDFW run their own poll? I do not know.

Our workgroup members did all the work, including several members from F&S, and I just coordinated.

We currently have 218 responses.

When I asked about this being for all fishermen, I meant that the proposed regulations are applicable to all fishermen, and not just kayak anglers.  Is the petition for kayak angler specific regulations all but dead at this point?
