Just went back in time and read that long thread Mooch started in 2011. Cool to see the old posts. What I remember is Adam (fishhunter), catch and release only, got hit from below and at one point was holding onto his yak on one end while the shark was biting the other end, eye contact maybe. Adam was happy to show pictures and talk about it. The year before a guy, shark attack Dan, got hit at the same time and place as Adam. He did not want to talk about it and maybe even quit using this site. Bushy warned us way back then. I know a guy with a wife and kids that surfs Ano Nuevo. I think it would be a terrible way to go.

Southern tip of the "Red Triangle" is Point Sur not Año Nuevo.

The park ranger came today and took some photo. Here is what it looks like top side. You should be able to make out where the bite is and how close it is to the fisherman. The owner said to be come pickup next week.

Kinda suggests 'kook' to me. A little sit inside, no skirt launching at the Beaan?

there, I said it.

At least this guy can swim. Also like that he travels light. One of the kayak locals at Muir used to get his dinner with one rod one lure and that was it
