I thought this may be strange but their is no mention of NCKA in this article, is this a normal procedure?

The guy who wrote this saw the link off of Headwaters Adventure Company on facebook and took the information from there. He never contacted me regarding the event or before posting the article. I let it go. He asked about using a picture, but I didn't know that it would be for this article. Thought the pic was just for info on crabbing from a kayak. If you noticed the article is pretty much the information that I put together with some words changed here and there.

If I had known that this article would been written I would have mentioned NCKA. I also believe that NCKA doesn't endorse events, I thought I read that somewhere once. Might have been on Yakhopper page somehwere. Sorry if this has caused any issues for anybody.

After looking at a few article and another by myoutdoor buddy I notice that NCKA is not mention. Maybe we can have polepole chime in on this.

Here is an article from myoutdoor buddy regarding GMS.

Neither are NCKA events nor are either sponsored by NCKA; although without NCKA members attending I am sure the turnout would be next to zilch.

Gee it almost sounds like hes putting it on. He does none of the work and takes it upon himself to say you heard it on his site.  Then your supposed to tell people you heard it there? Is this dude a member of NCKA? Oh , news flash, we are now fishing on the ocean. :smt044

FYI this is the first I had heard of this article. Sounds likehr may have talked with my mom and dad and did not get all the info. It's a shame he. Wrote an article on an event without talking to those who are putting it on. Lame sorry guys. Will get in touch with this guy tomorrow and clue him in.

I thought this was VWOOL's event!!!  I know it's not officially sanctioned by NCKA, but Headwaters is getting the credit..... that blows!

Without Victor, this event would have never got off the ground... Guess I am glad i won't be there, I would have made one hell of a scene..........

The last sentence of the article bugs me I guess. I don't blame headwaters I mean they are giving a great prize, and yes victor should be given credit as well

I don't blame headwaters I mean they are giving a great prize,

They are sponsors, they provide the donation as publicity and for support of there product; when was the last time you saw any sponsor show up to Albion, GS or Red Barn events..... the organizer should have been the only contact for the sponsor regarding the event! I wouldn't by anything from Headwaters even if it means I can't paddle anymore.....

... I would have made one hell of a scene..........

They will see this, they will know I pissed. I waiting to see if he chimes in and what lame ass excuse they have..... I know this Sh!t would happen.... trying to make this there event......  losers!!!

This is an NCKA hookup! NOT a Headwaters event!!!!!!!

You should lighten up Glen. This is Victors and Headwaters event. Dan at Headwaters has been more than gracious to all at NCKA. Offering deep discounts and support to all kayak anglers. If I lived closer to your shop Dan I would be one of your biggest supporters.  Dan has given reviews that are very informative and right on. Hes offering a surf seminar at Crabfest. Its not Headwaters fault that this dude decided to write his article. In fact the more support the event gets the more sponsors note it. You know that. Plus for your information there were sponsors at Albion last year. Everybody there.
