All of you in the Top 10 are fishing hard. I am happy that I have fish to put on the boards this year. Last year I didn't even enter anything. This year everything is getting a photo shoot.

I'd like to welcome Kokatat as a sponsor for AOTY.

They've graciously donated a Bahia Tour PFD and Nomad Boots.

Something tells me that GS6 is going to send some peoples scores through the roof! Since this is my 1st year I'll happily note that almost 1/2 way into the year I'm holding second  :smt003

My goal for this AOTY is get on the board for EVERY SINGLE TYPE OF FISH.  After that I'll be gunning for upgrades, but if I go 100% on the different species I will be psyched on whatever place I finish in.

To me that is what the AOTY is all about, challenging myself to try out new fisheries.  Sure I can always go to Berry and turn out a good haul, but Berry is just a small pond of the larger NorCal fishing scene.  I am not sure about that Pacific Halibut thing over the flounder though  :smt013

I know I can catch flounder, but WhereTF do I get Pacific Halibut????  Looks like I might have to visit my brother in Edmonds Washington   :smt006

Not too many Pacific halibut close to Edmonds (I graduated from the HS many years ago ), but you only have to go as far as Shelter Cove CA.

In WA, it's better our in the Straits of Juan de Fuca or the coast. The seasons are usually pretty short, though.
