I am fighting a king mackerel hooked on a jig when a sailfish ate the surface live bait on my right side rod (not in photo) and then came jumping across my bow.  The left side rod was still out with live bait on the downrigger.  It was a busy moment all caught with a still of the GoPro video.

Oregon coast range 4 years ago, that’s from my iPhone through my spotting scope, guessing about 2000-2500 yards across canyon, yup during deer season….. never seen him during elk season.

Bear Valley about a month ago.

So much rain, snow and cold weather this winter hasn't been seen since the early 80s. Not great for kayak fishing but nice to see a healthy snow pack!

HMB in 2021.  This one dove 20 ft in front of me.  I saw it coming so I could whip out the camera in time.  What a rush!

Thanks, definitely an adrenaline situation.... for a moment I thought the sailfish was going to land in my kayak.  Landed both and safely released the Sailfish.
