4 foot swell from 212 degrees forecast through the weekend. means 10 foot faces on big sets.

(edit- they lowered the foreast to more south and smaller).

these things don't always show up, they get filtered by islands, knocked down by NW wind, etc.

but this one has enough size that something should get through.

have fun out there!  :smt002

UUUGGGHHHH.......will that mean HEAVY stuff down at Andrew Molera/ Big Sur?..I think it faces more to the south.

might have to grab the bodyboard and head down towards Pomponio to get some good waves.
I went out at Rockaway last sunday,it was small, ut it was the first surf for me since this madness took over me. IT FELT GOOD TOO, and I'm still sore!  are you surfin instead of fishin J?

NOAA is still calling for 2 foot from the South. I'll remain cheerfully optimistic, but am ready to stow all gear at launch and landing.

Oh, and the winds don't look all that promising either

Dang!
And I just sent a mass PM inviting people to hit molera on Sunday. But after looking at some surf sites and talking with my buddy Paul, it might not be the best wknd to hit Molera. The south swell turns that point into an excellent surf spot.

Brian, Coral St will be fine. Parts of Carmel will be OK too. But I would stay away from Asilomar LOL!

Last saturday the surfing was epic at Pillar Point. Greasy calm with 4 to 8 foot faces. Any body who wants to kayak surf with us is welcome. There was two guys with sit inside sea kayaks last week. I have a spare plastic play boat. All you need is a helmut, skirt, pfd, and a paddle. Usually it's user freindly, surf inside for the small ones or go out and get the big ones. I think it would be fun with some of your fishing boats. Bring a wetsuit and even a rod. Tim

Guys, I'm sure fish will be caught in the ocean this weekend, I'm just forwarding the info to help you plan.

I am clearing my calendar and planning to surf (on a surfboard, kayaks are for fishing)  sat, sun, mon, tues mornings or as many days as my old body will let me.
