I have been washing my kayak at a self-carwash place for the last several years since I don't have a place to wash at my condo complex.
Recently I purchased a 24v battery-powered pressure wash from Amazon.com for $50 when it was on sale. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085PPHPFZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you are patient you can find one at a similar price, shop at Amazon, eBay, and the manufacturer's website.
I have been very happy with its performance, and my friend Eddie purchased one recently.  It is great to wash all my fishing gear and kayak at the launch site before heading home.

I made a short video of how I use it.

You can also use a handheld manual sprayer.  I found it that for me, I usually need at least 2 gallon, 3 or more gallon is better.

just saw that Ryobi have two similar models that use their 19.6V ONE battery - the 300PSI / 0.6GPH unit sells for a similar price.  They also have a higher pressure unit - though I'm not sure if that's needed for cleaning kayaks etc.

Thanks for the heads up! I like the interchangeable battery concept. I'll check it out.

Hi Paul,,
like I mentioned, decided to take a riff off your idea - went with the Ryobi 18V-one, 300psi model - $88 at home depot, battery not inlcuded.  They also sell a 600psi unit for $130, but I decided that 300 should be plenty for this application.

I decided on the Ryobi as all my battery hand tools are currently Ryobi, so I have batteries, chargers etc.

The unit comes with 3 input attachments
1. 20 hose that goes in a 5G bucket
2. adapter for a 2L coke bottle
3. adapter for garden hose

I used the 2l bottle adapter to wash my kayak with a simple green/water mixture - 2L was just perfect, then used the 5G to finish washing and rinsing the kayak - worked really well, can't wait to try this on the ramp next time - will be so much nicer to get home with clean equipment.  The 1.5AH battery packs I have are perfect for 1 very dirty PA14.

Thank you for the great idea!

thanks,
Brian.
