Introduction Post - I am a 60 year old rookie having the time of my life attempting to catch any fish in the ocean. Currently I am 0-5. I have fished Eureka harbor entrance, Eureka bay, Bodega bay, Tomales bay  and Monterey. I am taking a kayak fishing course in Monterey bay to try to help me improve.

You can easily catch rockfish if you head to Sonoma or Mendocino coast.
Which kayak do you own?  Do you have all the safety gear and know how to self-rescue?
Since you are not too far from my house, I will happy to show you my setup, if you are interested.
