Santa Cruz Harbor Monday 10/10 (Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day) ... anyone interested?

I plan to go out at first light from the Kayak/Sailing dock and see what's biting if anyone wants to join.

Ivan.

Possibly. I’m planning on early tomorrow, and depending on how that goes, might try again on Monday.

Btw, I went out yesterday afternoon and ended up just sailing around (no fishing). The good news is there was no red tide, and lots of bait on FF. I’m thinking fishing should be good…

Might be in SC on Monday, have the day off as well.  But could end up going to Stillwater as well, been hearing lings are on the chew.

Ha ha, yes.. About all I did was sail out 1/2 to 3/4 mile then back into the harbor, about 5 times (7+ miles total). It was too bumpy to fish and I didn't have enough time to wait until things settled down, so just tested out a few sailing things...

Had fun out there today watching NoWhereMan zoom past multiple
Times as fast as the wind would take him.  But kidding aside,   It was a pleasure to hang with him today

Overall It was a Ling Fest out there with multiple lings making their way to my boat and leaving when they won the battle of the tape.

But I caught a 10.5 pound 28 halibut that despite not being impressed with my gaf work, still agreed to come home with me

The water was the luxurious green that nowhereman described lasts week.

Impressive.

I regret that I didn't get a picture of you with it on the water...

Wow, way to go!  Tough year for me on catching halibut.
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
