My good friend and co-worker Justin Smith (aka Seahunter) has also gotten the video bug.  He has made some awesome youtube videos diving with his brother (Kevin) I thought I'd share with you.  Justin and Kevin train hard, dive a LOT and it shows.   IMHO these 2 modest young guys are going to deal out a bunch whoop a$$ in tourneys in the VERY near future.

I know I'd love to have a vid that opens with a 10 inch ab and a 20# ling!!!!

Another great vid...

Wow! :smt001

Diving deep....selecting the right prey....shooting....filming....returning to a far away surface for air thru the spaghetti of kelp all on one breath....?!
 Very impressive!

GREAT vids.
I am not too sure about carrying a bunch of bleeding fish on my person while swiming in the landlords property.

Freedive to 50 ft. clingin to the bottom and shootin lings... Hard friggin core!
Agree w/ tote though... swimming "baited" is probably not a good idea. Maybe a yak on the surface for the catch??

The "hula skirt of meat" as bigeyedave likes to call it is pretty much a spearo standard.  I know bigeye keeps his fish on the yak now tho...something about getting a driveby with a few friends out at Ft. Ross.

Thanks guys I am glad you liked the videos.  We don't do the "hula skirt of meat" much anymore these days.  Diving deep while dragging fish around is pretty tiering and like you said it ups your chances of an encounter.  We dove off of boogie boards for the last video because my brother does not have a kayak.  We stored our fish on the board once we took that footage.  However when we went to the channel islands for a week we dove off kayaks everyday.   It was awesome.  Here is the video from that trip.

(I don't know how to embed a video like scwafish did)

Went diving with Justin on Saturday. It was a non-yak PB adventure. He is a Red fish magnet. I would'nt let him near my KOI pond.  It is amazing how the video's turn out while spearing. I tried and waas all thumbs.

The footage you took turned out good.  Here is the link to the video from our trip   The footage of the jelly fish is from the day before when I dove with Joe from NCKA.  We dove from shore, but met my buddy out there who used my marauder and caught rockfish off it.
