Oh, I am probably fishing Friday but where?

Was thinking Bodega but JohnZ just posted a very simple post "grassey" so maybe not but would like to keep it close to home as Friday traffic sucks.  Last time I was out at HMB  on a Friday got skunked and then almost a 3 hour drive home to Petaluma.  Maybe HMB but probably get off the water by noon to avoid traffic.... unless the bite heats up while out there.

  Throw this in the blender. It's prime time for Bolinas/Rocky point right now too.

Do you want fish or do you want salmon?  I think if your wanting to get fish, you would make the most of your drive going out rockfishing and bringing home a limit of them. If you want a "chance" at salmon or halibut, be prepared to go home empty handed, as it's a lot of luck to catch one your first time out.  The conditions look good this weekend so far, so there are bound to be a few good hookups posted.  It might finally be a time to hit the mendo coast!

I would estimate for keeper fish as follows:

Salmon: 10-20%
Halibut:  30-50%
Rockfish: 100%

My wife doesn't like trolling, and when I am fishing with her, we only go for rockfish, lobsters, and squids.

If I'm driving that far I'm going to put in the time OTW and try for all options.
