Intro from the East Bay

Hey Y'all, I posted something similar on the "Post Your Picture, Screen Name and Real Name" thread, but wanted to start another thread to get to know some of y'all. I've heard the NorCal Kayak fishing community is close and can't wait to meet some new friends.

I'm Sage Marshall. I moved out to the East Bay from Colorado about a year ago. For the past few years, I've primarily been a fly fisherman, but since there aren't a lot of good trout streams around, I've been getting into kayak fishing and been enjoying it. I've caught some halibut in the Bay and went out into the ocean for rockfish once but was unsuccessful. I'm excited to keep fishing in the SF Bay and also to try different styles of kayak fishing in the region. Because I'm still relatively new to the area, I'm hoping this group will be a good way to make some fishing buddies. I've got a 13-foot kayak and have put together most of the safety gear I need for most types of kayak fishing. Thanks for having me in the group.

Welcome! I'm also in Oakland and get out to fly fish quite a bit even though it's usually a drive. But shoot me a message if you like to meet up next time you head out to the bay/ocean, I've got a pretty flexible schedule.
