I just used Zinka for the first time on a week of surfing in Nicaragua (about 30 hours in the water), did not get burned. Best I have ever used.

I should give the Raw Elements stuff a try, but in general I'm also a sunscreen hater.  I sweat too easily and it runs into my eyes and is irritating.  I use a big floppy ugly hat now and a UV Buff like FishingAddict and sunglasses.  But if I'm going to be in the direct sun, I stay as fully covered as possible.

The zinc oxide sunblock that I've used doesn't run like ordinary sunblock. Anyways, I cover up everywhere except nose and cheeks, so even if it did run a little, it should not get into my eyes (which is indeed irritating, in every sense of the word...).
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

I once maced myself with spray on sunscreen... it was no bueno  :smt009 But covering up has worked pretty well for me, even in Hawaii.  I don't look cool, but it's nice to not get burned or maced.

You could just smear Skittles all over before going into the sun. Titanium dioxide is what makes sun screen screen the sun.

A lawsuit filed Thursday in northern California federal court alleges that Skittles candies, which boast the slogan “taste the rainbow” on account of their many colors, contain a “known toxin” called titanium dioxide, rendering them “unfit for human consumption”.

They may be unfit for consuming but they should be good for smearing on a rainbow sun screen. Back to my morning coffee.  :smt003

How about if I eat a ton of skittles and then sweat a lot. Will that work too?
