What is this thing called?  Googling "ram ball star mount" or "ram star mount" gives me like two results from the other side of the world.

Seems to be a universal part rather than brand name

It is exactly that.  But for the life of me I can't find just that one part in the US. 

Guess there only made of Chinesium then ??
