How do you use these? I've used them for the battery box no problem, but for the transducer and power cable, if I get a size that allows for the fitting to get through the opening, it won't close down tight enough on the cable.

I'm probably missing something obvious...?

Are you using them for running cables through your kayak hull? They make special fittings for that.

Regular gland fittings won’t except the plug there made for the wire only, you could fill the area with a good sealant, or as stated above get the special fittings.

No magic.  Just make sure you have the right size for the cable gauge and twist it on. This one is a 7 I think.  Works perfectly.

I guess you could use the gland, cut the wires outside the box, run the wires, seal the gland, and use waterproof wire nuts to reconnect the wires outside the gland?

I’ll see if I can dig up a pic….
