Now that I got my very own Trident, I will do a few modifications - starting with an idea that I got from Paul (PAL)....

Note that there is a buckle/strap at the top end of the rod pod - IMO: a great idea  :smt023

more pimp'n and mods to come....

Mooch,
I really like where you put the scotty mount. Im going steal that Idea for my own maniacal creation.
The ram balls moving parts and extra weight are something Im steering away from this time. But I am curious as to why you didnt go flushmount scotty? Would have fit there?
I dig the color too and thanks for posting the evolution.

Terry - that's not my Trident, I just used that pic from some other site as an example. My Trident is "Visibility-Yellow"  :smt002

I'm currently looking for areas to put a couple of flush mounts....still have not decided where though...I'll be doing more of the pimp'n during the winter season...just to keep me sane :smt003

give me a little time before I unleash the beast (It hasnt arrived yet). but as a teaser I can reveal that there may be 2 new additions to my ever changing tools of the trade.
I must confess that neither of them is a trident. can we still be friends?

Credit for the forward Rod Pod strap should go to CJ Siebler of San Diego's new OK store, Angler's Yak Shack. Not only does it make accessing the hatch a breeze, it snugs the seal down preventing leakage if you take one over the front during a surf launch.
