I'm headed up to Boca Reservoir on Sunday through Thursday, meeting some other OHV motorcycle enthusiasts and wanted to take a pole or two and wet a line.  Any tips on shore fishing this lake? I'll be camped at Boca Rest Campground.  That's at the back side where the Truckee feeds into it I think.

Never caught fish in Boca myself. But the little Truckee river flows looked good last month. I think it’s barbless C&R fly fishing only. Stampede Kokanee is still hot.

There is no shade at Boca Rest campground so be sure to bring a easy-up type canopy. If your not bringing the kayak, just fish the mouth of the river right down from your camp site. Usual trout stuff works... Power bait, Salmon eggs...
If you can get the kayak up there, Boca has Kokanee but you would be better off taking the short drive up to Stampede.

Sold my CRF450X two years ago due to shoulder injury. Gettin the itch real bad for another bike!

Good luck, Kevin

I got another limit at Stampede on Sunday thanks to intel from this forum.
Also I have a KTM390ADV and a 700GS and may do some ride n fish trips up around that area. Kinda suck at off-road though.
