Stampede res. is out due to bad weather. Bullards looks good Monday morning. I'll be there at 6:30am. I usually launch at Dark Day but may try at Emerald Cove marina by the dam. Looks like the fishing is good at the Dam and houseboats. Gold Toyota Sequoia trailering a fire camo Feelfree Moken.

I'm in if the weather holds.  Was hoping to get some salt this weekend, but the weather looks windy and gusty again along the coast.

see ya,
Brian.

I have been fishing at Bullards about once a week for the last few months because the salt hasn’t been really fishable. I was there this last Thursday. The bite has been on the slow side but is definitely on now. I’ve been getting a lot of quality sized fish there for this time of year. Most of my fish have been around 13” and I did get a nice 16” rainbow. Also I’ve been marking a lot bigger schools about 100-200 yards off the bank. Good luck up there! Hope you get them!

I'm familiar with DD not with Emerald - but open to either

Yeah, me too, never launched out of Emerald. It will probably be a zoo getting out of there so I’m good with Dark Day. I expect to be there between 6 & 6:30.

Kevin, great to see you out on the lake yesterday - weather was awesome!

unfortunately, got my first Bullards Bar skunk, ran two rods, one on the DR - various depths 25'-40', one with a 1 oz slider
tried blades, hoochies, various colors various dodgers.  Did finally get a couple strikes when I switched to my anise corn, but that was about it. water temp ~67*F.  Saw fish down there, but not the big schools I saw last spring, lake lever is WAY up, even from a few weeks ago - nice to see.

Introduced my friend Dean to kayak fishing (lifetime fisherman) he enjoyed it.  Did well on the Lynx and caught a Koke - Kevin was generous enough to gift him his fish to make for a nice meal.  He had another koke, larger than his first, up next to the boat before it tossed the hook.

did 5 miles on the lake from Bullards Bar up toward the dam and back, with a few loops for areas with hits or concentrations of fish.  Wind was 0 in the morning, and about 11am the west wind started, and began to build. We were drivng off at 1pm, still no whitecaps.

It was great fishing with you again Brian. It was nice meeting Kayak newbie Dean too. He did quite well for his first time.
As Brian said, it was a tough day up there. Marked fish all day long but they just didn't want to play. Figure the heavy boat traffic over the holiday weekend put them off.
Still, I managed to get a double trifecta. Ended my day with 2 Spotted Bass, 2 Rainbows and 2 Kokanee.
Gonna hit Stampede next weekend, windy or not. I heard they killed them up there over the weekend.
