Gonna get wet at Gerstle on Saturday. First trip of the year for me, gonna go with a couple buddies but the more the merrier. Gonna do a few laps then settle down for a ling hunt.
Company welcome, look for the tired parents with the young nephew in a blue and a gold oasis. Channel 69, go warriors

Aloha,

Isao

What a lovely day on the water!
Decided on the no rush launch time and got on the water by the crack of 830, at which time someone was coming in with a fatty ling limit and some really not grade rf. It wasn’t super hot but enjoyed consistent action and got some super quality fish.

So good to get on the water!!!!!!!

Aloha,

Isao

It is so nice to get on the water. Especially when you get to bring some good fish home.

Enjoy it while you can, bro!  They grow up and move on in the blink of an eye.   :smt001

Sounds like an awesome time!  Hows the bad is the slugging to the shore these days there?

I must have erased the chute to the beach from my memory! We were able to lower a pair of loaded oasis' down the 14' kayak ramp with 3 able bodies. I could have done a lighter boat by myself, if i could have everything in a removable crate that I could walk to the beach. I know folks do it solo, but I feel like I could have a mellower time somewhere else.

Aloha,

Isao

I got there later on Saturday. With two people, I think it's quicker to just carry the yaks down (assuming Outback or lighter) rather than to use the ramp, especially since there didn't seem to be a rope this time. The launch is never as bad as I remember it. I guess my first couple of times were very low tide so there was lots of walking over slimy bowling balls, but just about every other time it hasn't been bad. I carry all my stuff down in a webbing bag so I don't have to carry an empty box back up to the car, I just toss the bag in the hold.
