Launched at 0630 and stayed on the left side of the cove with some good swells and dark green water.   The first hour I caught a couple of small sharks, one on a pearl swimbait and the other on a small octopus I got at the fish market.  Didn't want to go past the point because I have no backup and the swells are getting bigger.  Also my fishifinder is acting strange making continuous alert sound and the function buttons are not working.  I caught another shark on the octopus bait, a little bigger than the other two and all were released.  landed back safely at 0945 and met Kid dynamite and crew at the parking lot.  I also met Bill ( Rockaway ) and talked about hookin up for the next trip.  All in all, a great experience for me, playing with those sharks on a kayak was fun,  picking my takeoff and landing spots, and listening to the inner voice and knowing my limits.  I guess my years in the military and the fire department is keeping me on the cautious side. :smt002

Sounds you had fun. The place seems full of small sharks. Mooch got one 2 weeks ago. What sizes of these sharks did you catch? Any pictures?

I think they're all about 3 ft in length.  Looks just like what mooch caught. I was gonna take a picture of my catch at home expecting to catch something...oh well maybe next time.
