My name is Ron Oka I will be trying to fish for the first time in my kayak in the Monterey and Carmel area. One of my questions is if people use beach wheels and which brand are being recommended?

Make sure you have all your safety gear and know how to self-rescue before you go fishing in the ocean.
The most popular beach cart is TRAX 2-30 PLUG-IN CART, this is one with big wheels.  You have to select a cart based on your kayak.

I recommend getting this wheels from REI with their 20% coupon. It's versatile with every kayak. Scupper carts has been known to cause cracks in some of the older style kayaks without reinforced scupper.

I recently purchased this one with both regular and sand wheels.   It does not fit my old town old town sportsman very well so I ended up building one out of unistrut and hardware.  The link to for what it is  see amazon ctug and also their sand wheel.

They are light and roll pretty good in sand and the hard wheels good on pavement but a little light for my pig of a kayak and could not get it to stop slipping even with ratchet strap without tightening so much flexing the yak.

I got them about a month ago but figure I should find them a new home vs letting them collect dust.   I would let them go for $100 if they work for you and your yak.
