When I say "no idea" I really mean no idea.  Despite having thousands of dollars of spearfishing gear, my angling equipment is a lowly catfish rod and a spinning reel with line that's at least fifteen years old.  I have a family camping trip at Bass Lake in June, and I need some guidance.

WTF do I do?  I have that rod, a Trident 15 with a fish finder, a 25 year old tackle box with lures that are equally old, and maybe other junk that I could scrounge up.  Maybe turn on the fish finder and paddle around until I find something?  How do I find structure?  Look at maps?  How do I figure out how to target different species?  Maybe decide I'm only going after one species and target that?

I'm really honestly clueless about everything.

I you're talking about Bass lake out of Fresno, It's going to be a ZOO in June. Lake Lice and Drunken fools everywhere. You may get a few Bass in the early morning but Zilch after that. I you really want to get fish, take the short drive up to Shaver or better yet, Huntington. You'll get Kokanee and trout up there.
I fish, therefore I Cuss and Lie!

Bass Lake near Yosemite, directly North Fresno.  Are there multiple?

I guess it looks like kokanee are the go-to species in June?  I'm stuck to that lake because that's where the campsite is.

To go with your 25 year old lures, you're going to need a Zebco 202, not some newfangled "spinning" reel...
There's always money in the banana stand.

Unfortunately, making a 1-2 hour drive from the campsite at Bass Lake isn't really an option

Trout will be your best bet
Get on the water before first light
Fish near the docks across from the dam
Look for schools of bait and jig with a laser minnow 1/4 oz
add a stinger hook about one foot above with a mini hoochie
also troll the south end with #5 Rapalas
get off the water by 9-10am and hang with family
You will also have another window just before sunset
Good Luck

Thanks!  I'll do my best to figure out what all that means!

The lake has a speed limit until 10 am, so early morning is your best bet. The evening bite is good as well. The dam and the docks along the south side of the lake are very productive. Drop shot roboworms, jerkbaits, and senkos have worked for me. Bright color during the day, dark at night. The dock at Millers landing holds tons if crappie and trout. Crappie jigs or jigs under a slip bobber works. For trout, soaking dough bait,  throwing spinners and plastics works.

You'll be ~2 months removed from the last trout plant.  But I've caught holdovers there just plunking worms and doughbait from shore.  Critical thing is the water level.  I've seen it really seriously low where they should change the name to Bass Pond instead

Is that how stocked fishing works?  They just dump some fish in there and people catch them until their gone?  No breeding population or anything?

Yes for put n take fisheries.  I think dfg heat or pressure shocks embryonic fry to produce sterile triploid stockers theoritically disposing them toward speedier mass gain instead of diverting bioprocesses to reproduction.  Bass lake def has holdovers as Ive caught some full finned fatties no where close to a planting.  But those aren't necessarily breeders

Theres a brood stock program thats under diff protocols to planter stocks
