I had one of the little notches on the kicker motor tilt mech snap off. Does anyone here weld aluminum? Is this something that can even be welded?

I can easily transport the engine but am located in Redwood City.

Also, how are people securing these motors while underway? The engine tilt bounces a lot on the stern in chop and all the force is resting on those 2 notches... It was bound to happen

Cut a piece of 3/4" pic to the proper length to support the motor.  Cut a slot in the side of the PVC a little smaller than the tilt rods.  Will snap over the rod to stay in place.

I think i understand. this would be like a single kickstand in the middle versus one on each side? I'll take a look and see if there's something i can fix the other end to.
