So I'm just getting my kayak ready for the year and have a chance to get out. The weather looks good (haven't checked wind/swell yet). Is anyone else looking to get out on either kf those days? Let me know.

I think I’m giving it a go tomorrow too. Single digit winds. If it sucks we will bail but should be doable. Maybe see ya there.

what time you targeting? morning low is 810A, afternoon high at 230P - looking doubtful for me, just got back from working an event, and not likely I'm up at 4am for the pack and drive to be on the water at 7

Well I finally made the trip but it was off to a rough start. My trolling motor wouldn't turn on and the bait shop only had bagged anchovies which were very small. Made the best of it and headed west to the sailboat then north to the cans. Had one quick bite that stripped the bait but left the hook. Saw several boats hooking up once the tide started to come in (most boats had live bait). Headed in around 4 o'clock to have a beer at almanac before braving the traffic on the way home. Least learned, buy bait before hand and have rigs with smaller hooks incase I get stuck with small baits, also don't leave home without my sabiki rod and livewell.
