Local newspaper reports that Ice House will be having some major renovation work done; campgrounds, day use area, boat ramp area, dam, dump station and all will be closed for the entire year.  I'd say that might be fine for kayakers; no power boats, but when I looked further into it, No places to even park a car to carry down to the water.

Just wanted to post this before anyone makes summer plans.

Looks like you could go all the way to the back and launch there. Depending on the water level it may be a bit of a portage but doable. Or just go up to Loon. I usually do better there anyway.

If the lake is full, launching at the feeder stream is an option and the rainbow fishing is good back there.  But once it starts to drop, the bank is steep and soft.
My guess is that it won't be planted with fish this year.  Or that is the only lake up that way they do plant.  Ha!
